Farm to Table - Donated Fresh Produce for our foster families.
On Friday, May 15th Rose Again Foundation was able to distribute over 30 cases of mixed farm-fresh produce and other items to foster families. Thank you Traci with SMART MOMS for sharing this opportunity. We contacted Cindy Kelly with StayAliveAndWell.life in Murrieta. Cindy along with Matthew Smith were organizing pick up for the produce at her business location parking lot. Volunteer extraordinaire Michele Jeffers was there to help wherever needed and with plans to help with future distributions over the next few weeks. Doc from radio station 102.5 The Vine was on location broadcasting live. Community volunteers were present to assist with loading cases of produce into recipients vehicles. Ben Holtz, owner of CaliforniaAvocadosDirect.com delivered a semi-full of fresh avocados. John Ruff, owner of RuffAndReadyMoving.com and crew delivered trucks full of produce. Each and every person and business listed above donated their time, talent, and/or produce to families in need.
Maria and Rhonda, BOD Craig Shadle, and (Junior Advisory Board) aka JAB members Sami Shadle and Caitlin Cheley arrived on location at 7 AM for pick up. Once our vehicles were loaded to the max we headed to our home office where additional JAB members President Ainsley Hufford, Brody Hufford, Sarah Wilson and Brandi Peck arrived to help organize and distribute the cases of produce and donated new clothes, toiletries, and other misc items.
Each produce box had handmade cards created and donated by Breanne Reed. Cards of encouragement and inspiration along with word games on the back. Breanne laminated the cards so they could be cleaned and safe during COVID-19. We appreciate you all!
