Annual Community Meeting
Rose Again Foundation holds an Annual Community Meeting each October to update our amazing community partners, donors, volunteers and foster families on our successes over the previous year, our lessons learned, and our goals for the upcoming year.
Our meeting is open to anyone interested in learning more about Rose Again Foundation and the local foster children and emancipated foster youth we serve. Foster kids and their families attend as well as donors, volunteers and community members who are reaching out for ways they can get involved and make a positive difference in the life of a foster child.
During our 2019 Annual Meeting foster families, foster kids and emancipated foster youth shared their stories about their past, their on-going struggles, their appreciation of Rose Again Foundation services, their achievements and goals for their future.
There was not a dry eye in the house. Both tears of heartbreak from the struggles and trauma the foster youth had endured to happy tears for all their accomplishments.
Foster kids and emancipated foster youth live in our community. They go to school with our kids and grandkids. They will grow up one day to be neighbors with families of their own. They are our future employees, teachers, nurses, first responders, small business owners, and community volunteers. The love and support we provide them today can be the difference that allows them to heal and to be healthy, happy, successful, contributing members of our community and society.
